Lisa, the Procrastinator

Yes, I am bad at keeping up with my blogging. Really bad. Time has gotten away from me as I can't believe it's July already! Donnie was just back for two weeks and that was amazing! I took all but 1 day of the two weeks off and it was so much fun having our family whole again. We stayed at home and relaxed a lot, we went home to Iowa, we went to the Mall of America and also took Jax to the MN Children's Museum. He absolutely loved the museum as he was able to touch and play with everything there and I wasn't constantly after him to not touch things. Now Donnie is back in Iraq and Jax and I are back to our "normal". At his last Dr appointment last he weighed 26 pounds. His favorite word is ball and he points out anything round as ball. He also says car a lot and loves to point out cars, loves to knock on doors and windows, and prefers to sign food and drink versus saying food or that he is hungry or thirsty. Other words he will say is blue, bubble, mama, dada, papa, hey, yeah, no and a lot of other stuff that I have no clue what he is saying. He tries to mimic everything that we do and say but the words just aren't coming out yet. His favorite food is still fruit- pretty much any kind of fresh fruit, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, apples. He also loves mandarin oranges. Chicken is his favorite meat- but he only likes it grilled and not fried. At least he prefers healthy stuff versus junk so I hope he stays that way!
