Toy Story House

The Easter Bunny brought Jax Toy Story toys this year! He was sooo excited. He got a Buzz, Woody and Bullseye. Jax has turned out to be a Buzz guy and really doesn't like to go anywhere without his Buzz toy. Even to bed. He doesn't seem that cuddly to me but to each their own. We just wait til he falls asleep and set Buzz on the floor so he doesn't hurt himself rolling over on him. Nana and Papa also got him some light up Buzz and Woody shoes for Easter. He was sooooo happy to put them on and danced around to make them light up. Our whole life has pretty much turned into Toy Story these days. The movies, books, toys, shirts, shoes, jammies and we finally broke down and bought him Toy Story bedding this week when he saw it on the shelf in the store. Definitely worth the $35 bucks. He carried it around the entire store and refused to put it in the cart, probably cause he thought we wouldn't let him have it back or something. When we put them on his bed, Jax was the happiest kid in the world. He laid on top of the comforter and looked up at me with those big brown eyes and said THANK YOU and curled into the bedding. My heart melted. You're welcome little buddy. We love you.

But I'm not tired!

Jax enjoying his second wind with his daddy after bath time. He always turns into a wild little boy fresh from his bath right before bed.

BYE BYE PACI!!!!!!!!

SO, this week we FINALLY said goodbye to the pacifier! Jax has only used it to sleep for a really long time now and wasn't allowed to have it outside of going to bed. But he LOVES it. He kisses it and says bye to paci before putting it on his pillow. He gets soo excited to get it at night and nap time. So we have been pretty much enabling him for forever now because we didn't know how to take his "crack" (as we call it) away. He had been waking up at night for quite a while as well and would make us get up and help him look for it when he couldn't find it and that was getting a little tiresome. I know he can sleep without it because he hasn't had it at daycare since he was an infant and he naps perfectly fine there everyday, it was just being strong enough to do it.  Honestly, I thought we were going to have a lot more kickback than we did, otherwise we probably would have took it away a long time ago. On Monday, at bedtime he went to bed and was looking for it and said "paci?" and looked at Donnie and I. Stay strong, I was thinking and I just said paci went bye bye because paci's are only for babies and you're a big boy now. AND THAT WAS IT. He got into bed and went to sleep. No crying or waking up that night. We were flabbergasted that it was that easy and thought it was too good to be true. The next day at nap time he asked for paci again and I said the same thing and so he refused to take a nap and didn't so I got a little worried that he wouldn't nap anymore at home. But then he went to bed great Tuesday night again and has napped great Wednesday and today. After that, he hasn't asked about it once. Whew, what a stresser off our plate as we've been talking for months about how to do it. Now we know- just take it away and that's that. My advice is take away the paci before they can say the word paci. Then you don't feel so mean when they really want to suck on their crack a little more. We are a little nervous about giving one to Quentin and haven't yet but if we do, I know we'll take it away a lot sooner than 2 next time around. But I am so proud of Jax for taking it like a trooper!

27 Days Old!

Quentin and his ever changing looks. He is almost a month old already. Time is going wayyy too fast! I am really liking this whole stay at home mom thing...

New Family Pic

We were attemping our first family pic with the four of us and it was still quite unsuccessful. We'll keep trying and maybe we can get Jax to pose really good with all of us by Christmas card time.

Hanging with Grandpa!

Jax and Dad playing with his cool new football Dad got him.

Me and My Dad

Bathtime!

The boy's first bath together! I had actually just put Quentin in to give him a quick bath and Jax was jealous and wanted to get in. He was very good at being nice in the tub and wanted to help rinse his brother off by dumping cups of water on him. Too cute.

20 days old!

Precious

Quentin's Nana bought him this hat and he just could not get any cuter in it. I still can't get over the fact that I have two kids. Very weird.

The Boy's Rooms

This is Quentin's room. Andy helped me pic out the decal and I love it! She also picked out the curtains from Pottery Barn Kids. We started to put up the decal and then realized that Donnie has a talent for decals and he took over the project and made it into a beautiful masterpiece while Quentin and I napped in the chair and supervised. He did such a great job!!

And this is Jax's room. We got him another dresser when we moved the changing table out of his room. He also loves his big boy bed too!

What a tough day!

Jax taking a little snoozer in his favorite chair. He still wants to wear his boots everyday even though there isn't any snow out there. I guess he was feeling a shorted on winter this year too.

Quentin's First Week

I felt that we had a different baby every day the first week- I can never get over how much they change right before your eyes!

Loving me some Jax

My little mama's boy.

My Boys

Jaxon looked soooo big to me compared to Quentin at first. Somehow while I was at the hospital he grew up!

Meet Quentin Dean!

Meet our newest love- Quentin Dean Hance
Born March 8 at 8:33 pm
7 lbs, 9 oz, 19.5 inches long

Who knew I would ever be in love with 3 men at once...

Jax didn't want anything to do with me when he saw me at the hospital. I was looking forward to this awesome reunion where he was so excited to see me and yelled Mommy! and ran up and hugged me. Didn't happen. He really didn't want to be there and tried to leave the whole time. Ha! We did get him to hold Quentin for a few secs but then he was done and wanted to be outta there. He has slightly warmed up to him being at home but he still tries to get him off my lap sometimes. I don't blame him for wanting me all to himself. Heehee. ;)
