Jax was a lion for Halloween this year. We practiced the ROAR and he was really good at it and did a trial run of putting his costume on, which was not as successful as the roar. At showtime it was still quite a struggle. He laid on the floor and flopped around like a fish out of water when I was putting his costume on. Then he cried for a quite a while until we got outside and let him push his shopping cart around the neighborhood from house to house. Then he had a blast. He would drive his cart up to the house, then go up to the door and he would roar and say trick or treat and thank you and move on to the next. Once he realized he was getting candy it was really easy to get him to go from house to house. Andy came up and helped me since Donnie was still gone and I am so glad she did because I don't think I could have done it on my own. (and we wouldn't have had funny pics of Jax the Lion crying)
Yes I am a mean mom that laughs in my child's misery. :)
