SO it's time to make another attempt at our blog. Sadly, I am still better at keeping up with the blog than I am with the baby book even though that's not saying much.. We've had some life changes over the last 7 months!. When Donnie came home on his leave from Iraq in June I got pregnant which is totally exciting!! He was then scheduled to come home for good right before Thanksgiving but in October tore his MCL and had to go to Fort Riley, Kansas for rehab. That put a little wrench in our plans and his ETA to return home was unknown for quite sometime which was pretty stressful with a baby on the way. The rest of his unit came home as planned but we didn't get to have our reunion until TWO DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS! That seems like forever ago now and we are all together again and very happy. Jax was sooo happy to have his daddy home and really wouldn't let him out of his sight for the first few weeks. Thankfully, I don't think he'll remember not having him around last year.
Now we are changing up Jaxon's life again because on March 8 we added another little boy to our family! Quentin Dean Hance, born at 8:33 pm, weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces and 19.5 inches long. Jax has mixed feeling about him. He does like to touch Quentin every now and then and give him a few kisses but that's about it. Most of the time he just ignores him. He is probably a little too boring right now to keep his attention for long. I can't wait until they can play together!
I'll start with some pics from the last few months and then work my way to the present. Then I can at the very least keep up with the blog for the next couple months while I am out on maternity leave. And Donnie plans to post more too. Between the two of us we should be able to get some posts up on a more regular basis because having two kids is way less stressful than just one, right?
