June 5th Weekend

The weekend of June 5th I had to work so Mom and Daryl came up and helped Donnie put in my long awaited flower bed! Donnie built the flower bed last summer but I hadn't put any flowers in it yet so Mom picked out and arranged everything for me while Donnie and Daryl worked in the rain to get it done. It is the greatest ever and I am so excited every time I pull in the driveway now! THANKS GUYS!!

It's July Already??

Yes, I have been getting yelled at a lot for not keeping up with the blog this month- June has been one of the busiest months ever and we did not spend a lot of time at home (or on the computer) so forgive me! Memorial day weekend started out our weekends of craziness. Donnie, Jax and I went back to Lake City and Lake View and hung out with the grandparents and auntie for the weekend! Our trip home is 5 hours each way. We used to take the interstate most of the route and now we have decided to change our route and now take back roads. It has really changed the whole trip experience. Of course we have to drive slower but we are so much happier to be in the car when we get to look at pretty scenery vs crazy drivers on the interstate. That made our 50 hours on the road this month go by a lot better! Jax is growing like a weed- his legs have the cutest fat rolls and I feel like he already needs a haircut- he is getting wings over his ears! On July 1st his first tooth popped through! He won't let me get a pic of it yet but it's on the bottom right in front. My baby is becoming a big boy!

Sunday Drive

You're never too young to learn how to drive. I'm sure he was saying, "You ready for this Mom?" "Beep Beep! Get out of my way everybody!"

And Yet Another Poop Story...

See how cute Jax looks in this picture? Well this was just minutes before yet another poop fiasco. Donnie and I were getting ready to leave for Iowa for the weekend, I put Jax in this adorable little shorts outfit for the trip, Donnie put him into his Jumperoo to play a bit while we finished getting ready. I am in the bathroom and I hear Donnie say, "Hey Lisa, come in here." I go into the livingroom thinking nothing of it to find my cutie son in his Jumperoo, bouncing like crazy, having a grand old time in a bunch of poo. He had pooped in the Jumperoo, it ran all down his leg and there was a poop all over the carpet underneath him and he had his feet bouncing into the carpet- working it in... Yikes. I find it's easier just to put him into the tub after these type of situations, so I take the baby (gladly) and put him in the tub and hose him off before stripping him down and Donnie gets to clean the carpet. I definitely got the better deal. Never did I think that after our doggy Tige passed, would we be cleaning the carpet like that again. So I guess pets really do prepare you for having children.

5 Months??

This child looks more like 5 years, not 5 months in this picture! What a big boy! And he is wearing his cool Chinook T-shirt!

Happy Sunday!

Hanging out on the deck on this beautiful day! I was trying to narrow down which ones of these to post but they were all too darn cute so I have to post them all!! It was so nice getting to put a shorts outfit on Jax for the first time. And no socks and his feet stayed warm!
People are always saying Jax looks like Donnie and I've never seen it til I saw the picture below. That's all Donnie right there, especially the eyebrows and his "angry" forehead.

Happy Sunday!

Hanging out with Mama while she gets ready... but mostly hamming it up in the mirror! It was me saying, "Say Cheese!" that got him smiling so much!

Happy Sunday!

Jax is getting really good at sitting up. He can hold himself up with his arms but he gets tired pretty quick so it doesn't last long.

Hance Family Portrait

We took a million pictures and just couldn't get him to look at the camera! Happy Mother's Day to me! I had such a great day! Went shopping at the Mall of America and my boys sat outside dressing rooms and pretended to have fun while I tried on lots of clothes!

Tummy Time or Nap Time?

I put Jax down for some tummy time and he played for a little bit and fell asleep! I guess he was all tuckered out. This was the first time that he fell asleep on his belly- and I checked him about every 5 secs to make sure he was still breathing. Being a mom is nerve-racking.

Priceless

Moments like these are what make me feel ok about the ridiculous stretch marks that I have on my belly. Every one of them was worth it.

Poo Poo in the Jumperoo

Jax was playing in his Jumperoo, which he still can't get enough of, ...thanks for scaring me Holly :)... and he started to poo- he went for a few secs, Donnie and I giggled and I was about to get him out when he started going again. We looked at each other and had an "oh no" look on our faces- this may not be good. Then he started going AGAIN! I couldn't believe that he could have that much poop inside him. I was prepared for the worst as I just knew that there was going to be poo all over the Jumperoo seat. He finally finished going and I got him out and it was just starting to soak thru his shirt and there wasn't any on the Jumperoo! Whew. We did have to put him in the tub right away though. I just wanted to throw the onesie away but Donnie wouldn't let me. He cleaned it and now it looks like new! Poop never stops being funny, even when it's all over.
