Christmas with Grandpa!
Catching up on pics...
We did Christmas in Iowa a week before Christmas this year because Donnie got to come home for Christmas and we stayed in MN.
It took Jax a few presents to get the hang of ripping the paper, but he finally got it (with some help) and loved all of his new toys. He even got his very own Lake City Fire Dept t-shirt and NAPA football! Donnie was very jealous when he found out that Dad had to order him a shirt too. :)

Poop Monster
It's been awhile but unfortunately I have another poop story... Jax, this will probably embarrass you when you are older, so you may just want to skip this post.
This happened on Friday. Jax has a pretty bad diaper rash right now, so after his bath Friday night we decided to let him run around naked for a while and air out. Donnie and I were playing on the floor with him and he was laying on his back and started going potty. Awesome. Peeing on the carpet. We laughed about it, wiped it up and thought it was kinda cute. Then our pizza delivery came. So, Donnie and I were sitting at the table, eating, letting Jax run around the kitchen naked and playing. I was looking at him play, he crawled from the hardwood onto the carpet, on hands and knees, looked back at me and.... and... started pooping.
WHAT?? He is pooping?? It took me a sec. Then I shout to Donnie, " He is pooping! He is pooping!!" I don't know what to do. My hands are all greasy from the pizza. And it was Dominos, so they had all that garlic from the crust on them. While I am frozen with shock, Donnie leaps up and grabs Jax and hauls him off to the bathroom. Then I am stuck to clean up the mess. I am going to say the same thing I always said to our dog Tige. WHY THE CARPET?? If you are going to throw up/poop on the floor, why not pick the hardwood or tile or any other hard surface? Ridiculous. Raising a baby is still easier than raising a doggy, but wow- the similarities. I guess carpet cleaner is still a necessity, even without the dog. We got the poo all cleaned up, a diaper on (of course) and now may hope that we have learned our lesson. Probably not...

Picture a Hero
These pics were taken on November 5th. There are a group of photographers that volunteer their time and equipment and take free photos for families of deploying soldiers. I had gotten off work early that day and Donnie told me that they had been at his work that day taking pics. He went to see if they still had time to do ours and they were already packed up. The photographer was the nicest and she insisted that she meet us in Big Lake as it was on her way back to Minneapolis. So I got Jax and I ready the fastest that I have ever gotten ready and it ended up being such a wonderful afternoon. It took a little bit for Jax to warm up to them but once he did, there was no stopping him. Even when it started to get chilly and our noses got all red. We are so thankful for them and the time that they spent with us that day.
