My last days with a baby belly!

Here I am at 38 weeks and ready to pop! This belly is getting HEAVY!

And here I am at 39 weeks just before leaving for the hospital! Getting excited to meet our new little pumpkin!

How old are we again?

And I say "we" because Jax should be old enough to not make a mashed potato face mask at supper and Donnie and I (mostly the I part) should be old enough not to giggle like school kids while he does it. It was seriously hilarious to me and mostly stressed Donnie out because he was making such a mess. No clue what prompted him to do it but it sure was funny.

My Little Sous Chef

Jax has found a new found love of helping me cook! He is actually a really good helper but he does like to do a lot of taste testing as well. :)

Big Boy Bed!

In January we transitioned Jax out of his crib into a toddler bed. We also got him another dresser and moved his crib and changing table into the new baby room right next door to his room and across the hall from ours. The transition was kind of a struggle the first few days as he didn't want to sleep in his new bed. We kept both the crib and his toddler bed in his room for the first two days and found that to be no help because he was just confused at to which one he wanted to sleep in. We have been so spoiled with how easily Jaxon has always went to bed so Donnie and I just didn't know what to do.
On the third night we decided to just take the crib down and move it into Quentin's room and close the door. Out of sight, out of mind.  He wouldn’t sleep on the correct end of the bed though (the side with the rails)- and only cried for a few min when we left. Then he just stayed awake in his bed forever. Donnie checked on him about 45 min later and he was just sitting up in bed leaning against the wall with the blanket over his head. ( who knows)  And then he finally fell asleep at the foot of the bed. I woke up at 1am to go to the bathroom and went to check on him and as I’m walking into his room my foot hits something- yep it’s a person. Jax was sleeping in the middle of his room on the floor all wrapped up in his blanket. I have no clue if he fell out or what but it didn’t seem to be bothering him. I picked him up and put him back in bed and he woke up and sat up and said “water”, so I went and got him some water, he took a drink and laid back down and went to sleep. Thankfully he was still in his bed when I got up that morning. We ended up having to turn his bed around because he would only sleep with his head at the wrong end of the bed so we just switched it so the head board was on the side he likes to sleep on. Weirdo. I felt like we had a newborn again but one that we can try to reason with! It only took about 5 days and then it was smooth sailing and now he loves his big boy bed!

Cutest boy ever.

Enough said.

34 Weeks!

Here I was at 34 weeks with Quentin! We could not decide on a name for the longest time and kept it a secret until his bday! I was getting pretty nervous near the end of my pregnancy that I was going to go into labor and we wouldn't have a name. I am def not one of those people that could just pick one out after the baby is born. Way too stressful!!

SNOW!

We sure didn't get very much snow this year but the snow we did get was a lot of fun to play in! Jax got a shovel just like his dad and he was such a good helper pushing the snow. They would work to clean the driveway off and then it was playtime with the sled! Too bad the snow didn't stick around long enough, hopefully next year!

Christmas!

Jax was so much fun to watch this year as he LOVED to open presents and was soo cute and excited about it! We also had an Elf on the Shelf that my mom got us and he loved him as well, looking for him everyday to see where he was sitting. Definitely a tradition that we are so excited to keep going.

Jax's 2nd Birthday!!!

Jax's birthday is December 19, which was a Monday in 2011. He celebrated his birthday weekend with his Nana and Papa and opened presents on Sunday which was super fun! On Monday we had planned to have the neighbors over for supper and to play after I got home from work BUT Jax got sick and had to come home early from daycare with a fever and we didn't get to have anyone over. BOO! It was a bummer but he still got to eat his cake and Skype with his dad and snuggle with his mama. I can't believe my baby is already two. Love you Jaxon.

What a cutie!

He really does have the cutest face I've ever seen. Jax is doing some Sunday relaxing with his Papa.
